On 26 October 2020, the day of the national strike in Belarus, pensioners and students merged in one march. A column of more than 5,000 people marched along the central avenue of Minsk. Pensioners believe that not only young people but they themselves will still have time to live in a free country where individuals are respected, laws are observed and no one is subjected to violence for their opinions. One of the participants in the march said: “My legs hurt and I can’t walk, yet I can’t help but come.”
