The head of the National Anti-Crisis Management (NAM), Pavel Latushka, spoke about the threat he and Tsikhanouskaya had received from the KGB of Belarus. According to him, a potential threat exists as instructions have been given at the highest level to silence both him and Tsikhanouskaya. The KGB officers have been instructed to monitor every move of the Anti-Crisis Management in Poland. However, the fact that the NAM has become aware of it indicates that not everyone in government agencies trusts Lukashenko and is ready to conceal the information.

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met for the first time with the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, and the Vice Minister, Mantas Adomenas. The Minister confirmed Lithuania’s intention to actively promote sanctions against the Lukashenko regime and stressed how important it is to free the political prisoners and hold free and fair elections in the near future. One of the most important directions is to establish the supply of the European Covid vaccine to Belarus under the supervision of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office. The sides also discussed visa issues. On the one hand, Lithuania will impose a ban on the entry and issuance of visas for those who have participated in crimes against Belarusians. On the other hand, it is going to consider simplifying the migration rules for Belarusians who are forced to leave their home country. In Lithuania, they will continue to initiate criminal cases related to the crimes of the regime within the framework of universal criminal jurisdiction. Lithuania considers it important to rename Baltarusija (White Russia) to Belarus in the Lithuanian language. There has also been a proposal to establish an official representative agency of Belarus in Lithuania with Tsikhanouskaya in charge.

The chairman of the Bundestag sports committee, Dagmar Freitag, and the deputy of the Bundestag, Margarete Bause, spoke out against the hosting of the 2021 Ice Hockey World Championship by Belarus under Lukashenko. Freitag said that the German Ice Hockey Federation should set an example for promoting human rights and democracy and support the transfer of the 2021 World Cup from Minsk as well as cancel the hosting of all international competitions by Belarus while Lukashenko remains in power. Margarete Bause, a member of the Bundestag, spokesperson for the “Alliance 90” / “The Greens” faction on human rights and humanitarian aid, a member of the parliamentary committee with the same name, as well as deputy chairman of the German-Belarusian parliamentary group, believes that to hold a major international event in Belarus is to encourage state terror.
